Sometimes I start a painting without knowing what the big meaning behind it is. As the visual content develops, the meaning begins to unfold and become clear to me. In this piece, a zoomed in dahlia is on full display, showing off all the textural details while immersed in a world of its own. It reminds me of the way we God sees us and knows us intimately.
